Habits are the things you do every day without even thinking about it that are so ingrained into your day to day life that they are hard to give up.

Get to work a little early

Arriving at work just as the clock strikes 9am is not good for you, it starts your day off in a panicked rush and you’re always in fear of just a slight difference in your commute ruining your day.

Give yourself a few extra minutes for each thing you need to complete in the morning. Does it normally take you 15 minutes to have a shower? Allow yourself 20 minutes. Is your commute 30 minutes? Allow 45 minutes.

These small buffers will allow you to relax on your way in to work and start your day off well.

Arrange your workspace

When you get to work make sure your desk is tidy and everything is where it should be. Doing this will cut down on time searching for things that you need throughout the day that are usually on your desk. This will also make sure your workspace is clean, tidy and organised. This will prepare you for the day and clear your head before you start work.

Take notes

Forgetting things can lead to lost sales and revenue, so take organised notes and routinely review them to make sure you are on track. As well as this, you will be able to keep track of new ideas and solutions that will come to you throughout the day.

Get enough sleep

Sleeping can affect your performance at work drastically. The perfect amount of sleep is between seven and eight hours. Getting more than nine hours is just as bad as getting less than seven hours.
