A Salford-based opticians is currently completing a major store expansion, representing a £100,000 investment into Salford’s community healthcare provision.
The expansion of Specsavers in the Salford Shopping Centre will allow for more eye health and hearing services to be offered to customers than ever before.
The store will boast new standing podiums, with tablets integrated into the system which will offer the latest Frame Styler technology which will mean customers will be able to check out up to four spectacle looks at once.
The expansion will also make room for a contact lens area, where the store’s dedicated team of contact lens experts can offer private insertion and removal free of charge.
With the growing demand for audiology services, the store’s new equipment will see it offer enhanced hearing services, supported by a team of trained audiologists.
The improved hearing test room is currently undergoing extensive insulation works to help improve the quality of the sound and eliminate any background noise.
This investment has allowed for the store to further enhance its capabilities, which includes the detection and management of minor eye conditions and dedicated diabetic screening.
Mohammed Shakeel, the store manager said:
‘This expansion is a proud milestone for our team, and has only been made possible by the loyal support of the Salford community over the years.
‘The decision to invest in our store supports our growing business needs and has been carefully planned to ensure that we offer the best possible service to our customers.
‘With increased appointments, shorter waiting times, and improved technology, we’re really proud of the changes that we’re making to the store. The entire team is excited for our loyal customers to experience the changes for themselves, whilst welcoming new customers through the door.’
