Expansion For Debt Recovery Team

Keebles’ expanding debt recovery team has made two new appointments and is up for two Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) awards.

The seven-strong team, who have managed to increase their fee income by 50% in the last financial year, has recruited Paralegal Curtis Broadhead and Legal Apprentice Elizabeth Willmore to meet a growing demand.

Specialising in commercial recoveries and representing clients in sectors including manufacturing and automotive, the department, who is located at the firm’s Leeds city centre offices, has managed to sustain an 80% plus recovery rate for debts across 2015 to 2018.

CICM judges have shortlisted the team, which has a combined expertise of almost four decades, in the Legal Team of the Year and Third Party Debt Collection Team of the Year categories. The winners will be announced in London in February.

Keebles partner Rachel Crookes, who heads the department said:

“Our new appointments reflect our commitment to sustaining a top class service to our clients and to developing young talent. It’s also tremendous that our reputation and most successful year to date has been recognised in our awards shortlistings.”

A champion of developing its people, the team has supported three members though CILEx qualifications, with one employee achieving Chartered Legal Executive status.
