The Leeds-based company, Sound Leisure who are the worlds only manufacturer of vinyl jukeboxes has announced that they’ll be returning to Victoria Leeds with a pop-up shop for ten weeks.
Following on from the previous success earlier in the year, Sound Leisure which is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary this year, will be returning to Victoria Gate from Wednesday 31st October to the 6th January 2019.
Having released their new Anniversary Long Player (LP) Jukebox on National Album Day earlier this month, the machine will make its second appearance to the public at Victoria pop-up store.
Chris Black, the Managing Director at Sound Leisure said:
“We can’t wait to return to Victoria Gate on the 31st, since the huge success of our spring pop-up store we have been developing new products and concepts and can’t wait to showcase these.
“Our Anniversary Long Player jukebox, our newest innovation, will be on display within the store. Having launched the machine earlier this month in Holland, we’ve already received some fantastic feedback and can’t wait to show this machine to the people of Leeds!”
The machine, which has been a huge ambition of the Sound Leisure’s founder since 1968, holds ten LPs, whilst having the ability to play both sides of the record. It features a four-channel amplifier which encourages the five-way speakers to create a fantastic audio reproduction.
The store will also feature s number of Sound Leisure’s world-renowned jukeboxes, alongside a selection of 1940’s and 50’s petrol pumps, football tables and other unique retro products.
Sound Leisure is a family-run business that is the only manufacturer of vinyl playing jukeboxes and one of only two classic jukebox producers in the world.
The General Manager at Victoria Leeds, Joanne Coburn said:
